What makes IDS the first choice for so many?

Business experts often credit success to location, location, location. Education can learn from good modeling as we examine the strengths of our school community.

  • A site where learning is integrated into the entire environment both indoor and outdoor, through meaningful experiences, excitement, investigation, and a love of learning.

Faculty

  • Highly committed and dedicated to children first, with attention to academic success based upon developing student intellectual curiosity, emotional well-being, and socially supportive skills.
  • Highly skilled, known for being lifelong learners, with a commitment to continuously studying and implementing the research on effective teaching.
  • Highly respected model teachers with visitors coming from far and wide to learn from them as they work to facilitate learning with precision and finesse.

Community

  • Seeks to attract a diverse community.
  • Appreciates an active, dedicated Parent Faculty Association with parent participation in events and classroom activities.
