Extended Day Program
The extended day program on the campus of Corbett Preparatory School of IDS begins immediately after the school day ends at 3:00 p.m. and is available until 6:00 p.m. The program is offered so that working parents can be assured that their children are in a safe, healthy and happy environment that values each and every individual.
Many parents use the Extended Day service because of other commitments and even because the children often request to participate. Staff are required to go through a training. Many of our extended day workers are Corbett Prep alums, now in college or high school, who return to give the same wonderful and caring service that they received while during their time as a student.
All students in grades 3 through 8, spend the first hour in the library for supervised homework completion time. Younger students with homework complete their work in one of the extended day rooms with supervision.
Extended day is Monday through Friday and available on half days from 12:00 until 6:00 p.m.
