The Corbett Prep Visual Arts Program is based on the concepts of the elements and principles of design. This facilitates learning the language of art and design and exposes children to concrete concepts to apply to their artistic efforts. |
Our curriculum provides a sequential study that applies to all developmental levels and also provides ease of integration into other academic areas. Art history, aesthetics, art appreciation, and multi-cultural studies are important areas supporting the overall curriculum. In summary, it is our hope that our students develop and strengthen personal creativity and self-confidence, as well as gain a deep sense of satisfaction and enjoyment through the creative process. |
