Independent Day School-Corbett Campus (IDS-CC) in Tampa will be offering a concert with a different beat on Sunday afternoon Feb. 24 – a professional marimba and percussion concert, followed by a unique musical playground.

A fun, family-friendly concert featuring Woodworks, a professional marimba ensemble, will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24, in the school’s Farish Center on Lake Lipsey. The program is approximately one hour in length. The general public is welcome.

Tickets are $8 for students and $10 for adults and are available by calling the school at 961-3087, or at the door. The school is located at 12015 Orange Grove Drive in Tampa.

Following the concert students and adults can play a variety of percussion instruments in the featured "percussion playground" and munch on cookies to the beat.

The program is part of Reflections, the school’s professional chamber music concert series, which is designed to appeal to children and adults alike. The concert will include a question and answer session with the performers.

The Reflections series is entering its seventh season.
